Monarchs in Mexico 2009
Coordinated by
Monarchs Across Georgia since 2004
What
makes this trip to the Monarch butterfly Mexican overwintering sites
unique? Our itinerary includes three Monarch colonies. You will
learn about local efforts to promote sustainable and environmentally
sound economic activities with our visits to Alternare and the tree
nursery at La Cruz Habitat Protection Project. We will visit at least
one school near the Monarch Preserves to donate books that have been
purchased through our Mexico Book Project. The emphasis will be on
exploring the natural history of the region. The trip also includes
many cultural and culinary delights! We will be walking to see many of
these places for this is the best way to experience them. We
hope you can join us on our adventure!
Monarchs Across Georgia

The dates are
-
